One of the options, when buying Multiplicity is to purchase Notification System. It is a general purpose Notification and Alerts system, which could be configured by the user to send notification messages when certain events happen in Multiplicity. As an example, you could configure Notification System to send e-mail to a user when new Job is arrived to his queue. Notification System can be used by any System or Application you have.

• Notification Methods. Notification System comes configured to send notifications via e-mail or pop-up window. If necessary, additional processors could be added (paging system, etc).

• Notification Rules. Notification System could be configured to execute notification based on certain rules. Out of the box you have access to "Serial" and "Parallel" delivery rules. When Parallel notification is chosen notifications are sent to all addresses specified in the distribution list for the event. In case of Serial notification, message is sent to a first group of addresses in the distribution list and if within configured period of time confirmation from the user is not received, message is routed to the next group addresses. It continues in a such fashion till the end of the distribution list. Notification system could be easily expanded with additional rules.

Multiplicity includes Notification Setup Agent. This Agent is used to configure events, event properties, alert properties, distribution lists, etc. Once event is configured, Multiplicity or any other application can use Notification System to perform notification when event is raised.
